Default Engine/tranny repair questions

Curious to hear if there has been some "common failure" issues with the rear engine seal on the 2.7 t and the torque converter seal on the tip trans. I've been contemplating buying an aftermarket warranty (post CPO). I know these 2 repairs can run up wards of $3.5 - $4K if done at separate times. Already had cam tensioner, secondary coolant and air pumps, rear out shaft and rear diff seals replaced (all under the CPO).

Thanks in Advance
