Extinguishing check engine light 2002 allroad
 

2002 Allroad. The brake booster vacuum line valve broke. When it did the check engine light came on. I repaired the valve and the car runs great. Is there a way to turn off the check engine light without going to the incredible rip-off local dealer?

Yes stop at like Autozone ask them to scan the car and clear it. They do it for free.

Usually you can remove a battery cable to reset the ecu. That typically clears any CELs.
