Default First techincal question.

What Garrett gt series turbo will be the closest match for a 2.7T. Looking at the 490 - 590 HP range.

would like to run 19~24 psi.

HP graphs that look like an EXP function are of no interest.

I know k04/k16's peeps are in this teritory. I am wondering what a gt based turbo will yeild.

High timing advance and low AIT's wil make power, since i plan to keep boost down. Keeping the Stock C.R.

the goal is drivability, and smoothness. ( any car with ~500 Hp will feel violent enough, when combined with low gearing. )

I am thinking the gt 25 series from garret, with a .60 AR. worried this turbo will be way too large. ( might not be matched to the application goals )

Oil lines, and coolant will probably be a major headache. downpipes, will be a job from Hell. and manifold jiging will be beyond complicated.
Oulet, and inlet pipes are not to bad.

would it be wise to tackle such a project?

or! settle for k04s or K16 hybs. and play with tuning, on a standalone.


gt25 r is 750.

thats 1500 for two of them. and ~600 for manifold modifications.

~3k for the system.
or pay ~ 3 k for k16's?

Default personally, i think we are getting near the flow limit of the 2.7 already with k16's

hell, diego is doing near 600hp with only k04s.
