Default HEAD GASKET REPLACE

hey guys. i'm new to this forum. I'm getting ready to replace my head gaskets. do i need to replace the head bolts as well? ive never pulled the heads on this motor before, so do i need to remove the cams in order to remove the heads? does anyone know if there is a good write up on doing a head gasket replacement out there?
thanks

You do not need to remove the cams to remove the heads. You should almost always replace the head bolts since they are stretch bolts.

We have everything you need to replace a head gasket. Check out the link below.

Let me know if you have any questions.

always replace the head bolts. You run a high risk of breaking them if you try to use them again. They are stretch type bolts and you will torque them to 60Nm then 180 degrees. Camshafts can stay in place. Just make sure you put the engine in time and lock your crank. having just done this myself I would recommend having your heads checked, surfaced and valve seals replaced at the least. just a suggestion since you will have everything apart. not to mention the timing service and such if you haven't already.
