This is bugging me. The car is full VAST stage 3 (Mike knows the car well). I am wondering if I have a bad DV (710N). It sounds like a WHOOOO (like blowing across the top of a bottle sound) noise, not a whistle and comes during acceleration mostly when the car is cold. About 2 months ago my car was spiking (1.4-1.6 b)so I had it looked at by my local tuning shop (remain nameless). They tested the system and found that I had an air leak (not boost leak) on the air line connected to the inlet (cool) side of the turbo. They said a banjo bolt had loosened and they tightened it for me - problem salved. Now the overboost is gone but I have this WHHOO noise bugging me. I am wondering if I buggered a DV or maybe split a line or even pooched the MBC. The noise sounds like it is coming from the dash. In any event, I found it interesting that my friend has a similar noise with his bone stock 01 S4.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Anyone elses car make this noise? Mike, any comments if you're around?
