Default I should have asked sooner!! HELP!!!(long)

ok i'll start from the top....i have been coming to audiworld ever sence i bought my car. A black 2000 a6 2.7t tip w/51500 mi somewhere in the ballpark of 10 months ago. when i got the car it ran like a rapped ape. fast!! I was VERY pleased with my car, then problems came and are still here. to start i had the water pump and time belt changed out at 61000mi the car has never run the same sence that happened. I started to notice jerking when i would accelerate. also the car seamed much slower. then i was driving my car home from work one day when i heard a very loud pop...tbb. i had it replaced and went on my way. only to have it burst again in 15 days. the dealership did a parts warranty and no charge. then it happened AGAIN. they told me that my motor mounts were shot. so they did that and the tbb. so this is where i started to get very upset to say the least. it didnt fix the problem it went again and this time they inform me that my car is chipped. ok the light came on and everyone understands why? they wouldn't replace the tbb under warranty and suggested that i get an APR bipipe. i did they put it on and changed my tranny fluid for like $800 i went on my way. but the jerking from the get go is still there. on top of that my car has been almost over heating when i drive home from work(I live in phoenix,az so that have something to do with it)the weird things is that it gets hot and about 45 min. into my drive with the temp gauge about one and a half lines from overheating the oil light comes on flashing. **** was my first thought and everyone there after. so i have been checking out everthing that i can. I bought a vag-com of ebay and vagged the car it didnt give me much info. i got better dv's and have been trying to figure it out. so I come to the great wisdom and knowlegde of the forum. thank you for the help

Default bad coolant temp sensor. did they replace the thermostat when the timing belt was done?

what did the VAGCOM tell you? are you low on oil? maybe a clogged oil line? have you checked all of your other hoses, like the ones on the ICs?

Default Re: bad coolant temp sensor. did they replace the thermostat when the timing belt was done?

they did the thermostat with the water pump. where is the coolant temp sensor at? whats the model number also. I had a prob with the car one afternoon after a hard drive. i went inside came back out.the car would barely start and idled very rough and wouldnt go over 2k rpm so i vagged the car and got codes like crazy about the tb and started doing searchs on the codes. 2 hours later came back out the car started fine, ran good no probs.i cleared the codes, its been a month or so. i vagged the car yesterday and didnt get any codes relating to the coolant or overheating or faults. I checked the oil a few days ago and it was good.

Default Is it possible that the reprogrammed computer that you have is from another car?>>>>

If you have a GIAC program, and you change the computer from one car to another, you have to send it to a GIAC deaer to have it reprogrammed for your car. You may also want to look into a boost gauge to see what the turbos are doing when you drive.

Default has anyone checked to make sure the timing isn't off a half tooth??

This would cause the car to run all kinds of weird.
