Installed APR R1 DV's...is a flute-like sound from 2200-3000 RPM's normal?
Never heard anything with the stock DV's. It almost sounds like a flute. I can sustain it if I hold throttle just partially open and the revs go up gently from 2200 to 3000 RPM's. Full-throttle it doesn't make the sound.
All the hose clamps are tight. Anyone know if this is normal with the APR R1?

mine honked when you lightly let off the throttle
apr did a free service on it where i think they changed the spring now it doesnt make the honk noise when you lightly press the throttle and let off.

Called APR...said to return them for new springs
The tech support person at APR said that depending on the boost, the stock springs sometimes aren't strong enough and open just a bit on part throttle and make a horn sound. So they gave me an RMA# and will install different springs.

Re: they pretty much told me i couldnt return it cause it honks never buying apr again
I'd call them again and speak with someone in technical support. The person I talked with offered to re-spring the R1's without me asking for it! They seem like a pretty straightup company.
