Motor stored for 3 years - alternator, starter, AC comp, power steering
I am swapping my original motor (165k miles) out and put a 80k motor in that I am currently prepping (timing belt complete job, new silicone hoses, turbos, plugs, drop oil pan, plugs, motor mounts, valve cover seals, etc.).
I plan leak down and compression test soon (hook up starter and a battery and hope to crank it for the compression test).
This motor has been sitting for at least 3 years.
Should I
- put my (working, but 165k old) starter, alternator, AC comp, power steering) on the new engine
- use the ones from the lower mileage (but sitting for 3 years) engine
- send the ones from the 'sitting' engine out for reconditioning?

If all the pulleys spin freely, then you should be fine. The alt and a/c might have a lil rust/corrosion in them and make a lil noise at first but will clear up after running for a lil while.
