Mystery Oil Leak
On the passenger side of the oil pan, rear corner. It's coming from somewhere above, but where? It's so hard to see anything in there, even with a light. 2002 Allroad.
Wild speculation...go.

Orings for the turbo drain tubes where they go into the oil pan. Chain tensioners/rear cam plugs leaking. Really about it. Its only a mystery because you havent gotten under it with a bright flashlight to look. if you have to, get some UV florescent dye and add to the oil, wash it all off very good. Go for a drive. Put on stands, crawl under, i guarantee you will see right where its coming from.

9 times out of ten, the valave cover gaskets get replaced but the cam seals in the back don't. The rubber gets hard over time and starts to leak. They are simply pushed into place to cover the big hole of the cam.

Bought the gasket kit from Blauparts
I had the DS valve cover gasket replaced early spring. I'm assuming that's all they replaced, so that leaves:
- rear cam plugs
- cam chain tensioner seals (?)
- PS valve cover gasket.

Replaced and oil leak fixed.
Those seemed to do the trick. I did run into some problems when re-mounting the combi valve, but all is well now.

Has anyone replaced the turbo oil line gaskets? Any tips?
This leak persisted, and like all leaks, only got worse (if it mysteriously stops, you're out of whatever you were leaking!)
It's a line that runs from the turbo back into the oil pan. I bought the gaskets, just waiting until the next oil change.
