<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/96961/cps.jpg"></center><p>I replaced my valve cover gaskets and cam adjuster seals, and I think I did a bad thing, I power washed my engine.
After driving the car I got the CEL. I checked the wiring, and I have the specified voltage on the plug. ( (1) 5V, (2) 12V, (3) Ground). I also cleaned the contacts with stabillant. Then I checked with the VAG tool at measuring block 93, and this is what I got. ( see picture). Does that look normal to you? I did not do anything to the timing belt, is it possible that at startup until the adjusters got pressure the camshaft chains jumped a tooth? Or did the CPS went south because I powered wash the engine?
Please help.

Last time I checked water does bad things to electrics. I learned this on my 71' FIAT Spider - all you need is a little water under the distributor cap and it won't start.

And your guess was right CEL is off now I hope it stays like that
