Need recommendation for mechanic in North Atlanta - Torque Converter failure
I just got back from my dealer. I have 70K on the A6 and the torque converter just went with a potential oil leak. The cost is $5K by the dealer's estimate. They are going to ask the dealer rep for a discount, but from what I have been reading, I think I'm outta luck.
So I'm weighing my options of trading the car or repairing it at a local mechanic. Any one have any recommendations in North Atlanta?

Give Hans@ AutoHaus a call.....
he does great work at much lower rates than the dealer.
He's in Roswell.
You should also probably post on the SE Forum.<ul><li><a href="http://www.autohausatlanta.com/">Click</a></li></ul>

Re: Give Hans@ AutoHaus a call.....
Thanks for the reference. I contacted the factory rep about the torque converter and they slashed the cost of the repair by 1/2 by giving me a discount on the parts and labor. For this one I'm going to the dealer, but probably from now on I'll hook up with Hans.
