Default No boost

Please help. I have 01 A6 2.7T with no boost. There was no turbo noise or indication of failing turbo's just one day the car had no boost. No oil in intercoolers, no smoke out of exhaust. Checked TBV one had bad diaphragm so i changed both, but still no boost. The car has 120,000 easy woman miles on it. All the rubber boots are in good shape. I don't here any whooshing sounds to indicate a boost leak. Could it be a n75 or a n249 solenoid failer? Should there be vac to the TBV at idle? any idea's? Im also getting a torqu converter ckt stuck or peformance code.

Default how do you know you have no boost? do you have logs? is your car in limp mode?

if you're getting a tq converter code, it's probably going...

The Engine runs like a top. No skipping smooth and perfect, just no power. The car feels like it has 100 to 120 hp. If the vehicle were in limp mode when i clear the torque converter code i would assume i would get my boost back. The code stays cleared for a couple days. I was thinking of temporarily killing the vac to the TBV's to see if the n249 vale could be the culprit.

probably want to replace N75 and maybe inspect underneath your TBB.

Default Re: No boost

Thanks' guys. Nice web site. If it wasn't for this site, and one of the posting's I would still be trying to figure out what was wrong with this car. MAS AIR FLOW SENSOR needed to be cleaned. There's a slight oil film that gets onto the filament or whatever you want to call it. Sprayed it off with some brake cleaner and got all my power back + some more from replacing the TBV's. I had a torn one, But I'm still getting that danm trany code, weird. Thanks again Dave.
