Hi, im fairly new to the Audi world and These forums.

ive had my car for about 3 weeks now, 2001 B5 S4. A few days ago whenever i rev to about 4-5 every gear i hear a loud whining sound/spooling. Not sure if its my turbos trying to tell me they are about to die or what is going on.

Any Ideas??

Well the turbos do make that noise normally. Its turbo spool up, lol. otherwise if its abnormally loud sombody could have put a different intake on it. Or Theres a big boost leak and your boost is just escaping to atmosphere and hissing

i know they normally make a spooling sound (not my first turbo rodeo) LoL. but the noise just started happening a few days ago. not sure if it is my turbo's screaming for help or not, and it doesnt sound like my DV's and only happens when im moving. so next thing to do is check for boost leaks i guess

does it seem slower? Check engine light? I have doubts that the turbos would be suddenly worn out unless its had very poor service history.

the car doesnt seem slow, seem to be boosting 18-20. Only reason it may seem a little slow to me is cause i have a misfire in cyl. 4.
