Default Question on DV's ...

So I just picked up a 2000 A6 2.7T 6-speed manual, and was looking around and reading about TBB failures and such. Now looking down the upgrade path I was wanting to get a pair of Forge 007 DV's installed and came across the APR BiPipe Kit on ecstuning that comes with two 007's.

Would I be better off getting this kit to begin with instead of hoping that I dont have any issues with my current TBB? Any downsides to this kit warranty issue wise?

Thanks,

Aaron

Default In the long run i would say the bipipe kit is great to go with.....

being money conscious though you could upgrade the dv's now and then later on or when the TBB does go, then upgrade it with either an upgraded boot or the bipipe. But, if you have the money it would be smart to do both of those preventative maintenance items now with the bipipe kit.

Default Unless you are running mad boost, there really isn't a reason to have anything other

than the stock tbb and dv's. Are you going to chip it? As long as you know the tbb is good and you are running 710Ns, there's no reason to go to the bi-pipe. Is it peace of mind? Yes. Is it worth it? Not in my opinion. There are guys on here running plenty of boost on stock tbb and diverter valves.

Yeah from what I understand it was something like 10% of the 2000's were 6-speed manual, the rest were auto's.

You can get a replacement from Samco. You don;t need stonger valves unles you are going to chip the car. the 710N valve from the TT is only 35.00 and well worth the money.

I have the 710N and the Forge 007. I can detect no diffence with my APR 5.0 flash.
