Sensor Issue?
 

Hello,

I'm about to embark on a timing belt job for my newly acquired 2001 Allroad APB. I was curious about what other items I can replace while doing this job to be proactive and avoid having to go back in to replace pieces that may die. The car did not come with service records, so I'm just going to replace whatever doesn't look right, but it runs a bit wonky so I want to make sure I do what I can. I know it has a new serpentine tensioner, but that's it. I'll be replacing all the seals that can be accessed during this job (and everything included in the FCP TBKIT-RB kit that has the seals). Looking more for things like sensors that might be good to check/replace, bolts to check/replace, and really anything that might be helpful to double check.

I have seen other people on this forum mention they went through the whole job and found it to be a coolant temp sensor issue in the end. I have to do this job anyway, but as mentioned I want to be proactive. Any help would be appreciated.
