Serpentine tensioner replacement
Is it possible to change the serpentine tensioner and seep belt without going into service position? Just wanted to know if any jet mechanic-types have ever "McGyver'd" up a trick to doing this directly. Garage real estate is currently scarce when i am waiting for either winter to start or summer to make a last surge.

With the right set of tools (half inch drive breaker and 17 mm socket, 3/8 inch drive swivel ratchet and 8 mm allen), I have been able to replace the belt and also to remove the tensioner without the service position. It may be necessary to remove the electric fan in the engine compartment.

Copy that on the "right tools" aspect. If i didn't have my 3/8 drive 80 tooth flex head from snap on, I would never get anything done on this car. I yanked the passenger side pressure duct that spans the intercooler to throttle body. Even with that gone my hands were pinched a bit, but was done in no time. Was considering service position to inspect all other pulleys accessories.
