setting cams on 2000 A6 2.7
idler pulley bearing went on my 2000 A6 2.7, timing belt lost a few teeth. I'm trying to get the cams adjusted to the proper position but having a hell of a time to move it no matter what position the crankshaft is in. Crank moves fairly easy but camshafts are very difficult to move.
Is there a procedure to set the timing in this condition?

2000 A^ 2.7 valve replacement
got the valve cover off to see why the cams are hard to move. so far it looks like the #1 exhaust valves are bent, other side most likely have similar damage, i was afraid of something like that, heads will have to come off.
does anyone have a good procedure to do a valve job? bentley does not have much details about it.

Not much to it other than removing the heads and replacing the valves. Bentley does not have the cylinder head removal procedure published AFAIK, but I could be wrong. I think dropping the engine and transmission is easier, as you have to pull the bolts for the manifold to turbos and they are not easy for most to get to.
