Surging after chip...

Surging after chip...
I've seen bits and pieces on this, but, what things cause surging. I've chipped. As soon as the boost is heavy it surges. I upgraded the BPV's. The whine/whistle got louder also. Any ideas? Thanks!

What chip? so many possible reasons.
Assuming you have no boost leaks, or sticky BPVs, X chip can make it feel like it's surging at heavy boost. So can a flaky N75 valve. Check your throttle adapt. Does the behavior improve with higher octane (race) gas? Mine never smoothed out until I put in an MBC in parallel.
