Default Timing tensioner seal leak

I have a 2001 s4 with a small oil leak. I took it to a mechanic and he told me that it was my timing tensioner seal. My question is how hard is this to replace once you get the front bumper clip off and could the suck pump be a cause of this? The oil leak is coming from the driver side. It is a slow leak, I have not needed to add any oil yet, but every once in a while you can smell it, Any help would be great.
Thanks
