Turbo O ring issue

Turbo O ring issue
Hello,
wonder if you guys can give me the information about my buddy audi..his 2000 A6 v6 2.7t got a leak on the left side turbo..can he drive over 70mph and over 15hours trip? would this damage his engine? or effect on the engine performance? also wonder how much would it cost to have the O ring repair? is this a simple DYI job or only indy shop can do? need a fast advise..he need to drive home this weekend...thanks

IMO, yes, but only if he has a boost gauge. I drove with a torn TBB but I also have a boost gauge
and never let it get above 0 psi. is he stock? if not, he should try to put his chip into stock mode, if possible. limp mode would be better but probably a bad idea to drive 15 hours.
I think the o-ring, if it's the one I'm thinking about, is a DIY job.
