Turbos

Really! How hard is it to swap out the turbos on these cars?

hello im new to this website ive heard this is the best website for AUDI owners. About the turbos I just had both replaced by AUDI and they charged about $3000.00 just for labor. They said they had to take down the engine. Being that my car was under warranty it didn't cost me a dime.

drop engine, replace turbos, put engine back in.

i.e., you're going to want either LOTS of experience or LOTS of practice

S4 Chuck, Did you ever get a response from someone? I have two leaking Turbos on my 01 Allroad ( 200K miles) and dealership wants $5500 to replace. Turbos look like $1050 each so that really leaves $3500 for labor; sounds like a lot to me!
