What Forged Rods will work without clearancing of rods or boring motor?
I was checking with 034efi about their forged rods for the 2.7t and they mentioned that the motor will need to be bored slightly (and new pistons will be needed) to use their rods. Or, clearance the rods. I want to avoid doing either of those.
Anyhere here know who makes rods that will drop in with no other modification? The plan is to re-use the stock pistons and only replace the rods. I'm lookin to pick up a set like now.

Pauter generally makes great rods for stronger engines. But...
When you do the rods...R+R the piston RINGS too. Most any mechanic worth his 10w-40 will tell you, once you remove it all, take advantage of it.
You may not need to replace the pistons, but you really should do the rings and you don't need to bore the walls, Jus have them honed(cleaned) to allow the new rings to form their own seal.
What are you doing to the engine that requires new pins? The OEM pins are about as strong as most would ever need in any application.
