Where is the oil temp sender on the 2.7T?

Where is the oil temp sender on the 2.7T?
I am trying to replace it. I have heard a few different locations from searching on the internet and I can't locate it.
I have heard above the oil filter, On the passenger side between the two heads and I also heard it was the sender plugged into the bottom of the oil pan but I though that was the oil level sender.
Please someone who has actually pulled the thing out reply and tell me where this thing is! I have posted on other forumns and haven't gotten any replies.
