Whistle noise from turbo?
Hi,
I have an Audi S4 2000 with Giac chip. Stock K03. I have since today an high pitch noise when on boost. No boost lost, still peak at around 19PSI. I found sometime idle problem at low rpm.
Can it be a blown turbo? What is the "normal" symptom of blowned or tired turbos?
Maybe DVs? I have 710n's about 1.5 years old.

if you have a bad turbo, you're not going to see 19 psi.
start with the normal stuff: pressure test the system, replace the DVs if you feel the need, scan your car with a VAGCOM for codes

depends on which programming you have in the chip. giac spikes at 18 psi, but i've seen
19 psi going downhill or whatever favorable conditions permit, but usually 17-18 peak.
I have the newest code. I think the older codes spiked much higher.
