what is this silver thing and why is it turned in such a way where i can't remove my passenger side valve cover? is there a way to move it out of the way? if picture doesn't post, itis the silver cylinder thing between the valve cover and the firewall. it's got a beather line screwed to the back of it and a small rubber hose attatched to a brass nipple on the front of it. the brass nipple is turned so that it stops me from being able to lift off my valve cover. very frusterating!!

OK. i know it's the combi valve. but how do i remove it or move it so that i can remove my valve cover?

No kidding...went through the same issue with mine. There's a socket head bolt in the back which you can take out (looked for another to fully remove, but??) which gives you some wiggle room to remove the valve cover. Getting it back on takes some extreme patience as there's very little room to wiggle as you put it back over the studs.

Three 5mm allen bolts bolt it to the head. Careful not to drop the gasket!

i carefully pry the nipple out using a trim tool, its just a soft press fit... when finished tap it back into place. much easier than hassling with the whole combi valve.
