Over heating

Over heating

My Audi A6 2008 show on dash cooland is low and started to over heat so i add a quart but still over heat but only when the car is still idiling with the Ac running. What i have notice i fill up the resovoir to the max can that make the engine overheat?
On another note the engine dont keep running for a few seconds after the engine has been switch off
Anyone can help me?
