Default q7 2011 overheating
is it normal for the thermostat and water pump to need to be replaced after only 56k?

Some early 3.0T waterpumps were plastic housing and soon changed to aluminum housing for longer life. Thermostats can go at any time. I replaced my thermostat at 45,000KM.
