Hi. Over the weekend my Aux Cooling Pump developed a crack in the housing and is spilling coolant. This is the small electric pump (8K0965569) which is located in the right front corner that plumbs to the Intercooler and Supercharger.

My question is this, is there a set procedure to activate this pump that will assist in the system refill? Refill process I'm planning... fill with G12 from expansion chamber while engine is running, with heater in HI position, and use the two bleed screws each located in the plumbing for the inter coolers. I THINK there may also be a bleed within the hose going to the heater core somewhere near the firewall.

Any advice or encouragement?.

Completed the job a few days later. Simple repair that saved hundreds.

Hey Man,

I have the exact same problem. To bad no one replied to your question The repair seems fairly easy but I'm worried about the bleeding part of it… Could you share the steps for me ?

By bleeding I ment bleed the air out of the systhem after refilling.

Can you help me locate the pump? I too have a S-line Q7, but am having problems finding diagrams. Must say I haven't yet scoured my engine bay, but saw this so figure you could advise! Same part (8K0865569) needs to be replaced.
