The Castrol 0W40 meets more OE specs than Mobil at this point in time, Larry.

Agree with Uberwgn. Castro 0W 40 or 5W 40 meets the 502 standard set by VW/Audi.
Incidentally you can get Castrol 0W 40 from Amazon delivered to your house if you are a Prime customer, for about $ 10 less than at your local auto store. As soon as Amazon realizes this, prices will no doubt go up.

Yeah, there's no issue with either oil for the VW/Audi owner. That's all covered. Some were concerned with the loss of Mobil's certification for BMW and Nissan GT-R. The BMW LongLife specs are difficult to meet and the M1 0W40 no longer carries the spec following a recent re-formulation. Therefore, some say the Castrol is the superior product today.
