I picked up a 3.0L at a salvage sale. Engine turns over, belt don’t move. I assume it sheered belt teeth at crank pulley. Should I just cut bait and get an engine as I assume there is fairly high risk I have pistons with holes.

Is it really turning over or just the starter cranking? Even if yourpistons were toast wouldn't the starter motor still move the crank shaft? Maybe teeth on the starter are gone? Sorry I am a bit of a noob at these cars but at least you get a bump.
