Default 30V Frankenstein

Hello to all Audi fans!
I am looking for any information about the parts that can be swapped between 2.8 and 3.0 30v engines. Basically there are 2 questions:
1. Can the 2.8 heads be used in the 3.0 bottom end?
2. Can the 3.0 crank/rods&pistons be used in the 2.8 engine?

These are very different engines. Why would you want to swap parts between
them? They are not the performance engines in the Audi engine family lineup.

Thank you for the reply.
We are building a Fiat 126 drag car and the maximum for the class we want to compete is 3.0 liter. Since the engine must be longitudinal and with a mating transaxle the 2.8 offers the best price/power ratio. I am sure that the 3.0 crank can be use since is used in the 2.7 engines but I want to know if the standard pistons can be machined for the longer stoke or not.
