Changing oil type...
I recently purchased a 2004 c5 a6 avant and I want to use factory recommended 5w30 by Ravenel....but the previous owner used Mobil 1 0w40. Both comply with vw502....
is it bad to change oil type at this many miles?? Should I just stick with the Mobil 1 0w40? Like I said, owners Manuel recommends 5w30...

As long as the Ravenol oil meets VAG 502.00, no issues at all making that change.
