Coolant temp sensor
Mt temp gauge is intermittent, but I can't locate the sensor.
Any help?
I know what it should look like, and roughly where it should be, but can't find it.

by looking at the manual the best i can tell you is that it's on the rear coolant line that runs on the fire wall side of the motor. it's on the passenger side. from what i've read on here it seems to be a common question. good luck as i have never looked for mine.

On the 2.7L V6 it is located on the passanger side rear against the firewall underneath the accordian hose of the MAF. It is a green sensor (the new one anyway; may be blue if it has never been replaced) and contains an O-ring and retaining clip. When removing the old sensor, if you don't see the black o-ring, stick your finger down in there and fish it out - do not install the new sensor with the old o-ring! Go to the dealership or order from ECS Tuning/Autohausaz/Blauparts etc the revised green sensor, o-ring, and about 2-3 retaining clips as they are very easy to break/drop putting them back on (looking at $20 give or take). Before removing the clip and sensor, make sure to depressurize the coolant system - do this by unscrewing the coolant resevoir cap all the way, and then tightening it back down - thus creating a vacuum in the system and you shouldn't spill any coolant.
WARNING: The spot the sensor is located HATES knuckles - there is very little room to work unless you have the hands of a 5 yr old lol G'luck bud!
