Flywheel alignment to crankshaft
I took off the flywheel to replace the rear main seal and I forgot to mark the flywheel position relative to the crankshaft. Can someone point out how to re-install it correctly? The factory manual and the Bently do not cover this alignment.

I haven't worked on the V6 flywheel, but on other Audis I've worked on, the bolt holes ONLY line up one way, as one hole is off-center if you will.
Line up, and look closely with flashlight at holes while rotating flywheel with respect to crank, should be only one way that all holes line up.

The reply was correct. The holes on the bolt circle are not evenly spaced. One bolt will only install with the flywheel in the correct orientation. I ts been too long so I don't remember the position of the trigger.
