a8 vs s8 4.2l difference
Hi could anyone tell me what is the really difference between diffrent a8 and s8 engines is there different heads,cams, software?
So will the s8 heads cam and software fit to a8 4.2l abz motor?
What about the difference between 340hp vs 360hp s8 v8??

Pistons (higher compression ratio), cams, intake manifold, ...
plus engine and tranny software to manage the higher S8 rev limits (7000 vs 6200) and intake manifold runner length transitions.

I believe the S6 vs S8 differences are due mainly to...
..marketing and a slightly more restrictive exhaust routing. But mainly marketing. Cant have the S6 being faster than the S8, can we?
