Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum so I'd like to start by saying hello and thank you in advance for everyone's input. I recently purchased a 2005.5 S4 and I believe the timing chain jumped a tooth. One day I stalled it and when I started it back up it made a horrible noise. I borrowed a friends borescope to take a look and I have some serious damage. Looking into the spark plug holes I can see that one of my pistons has rotated 90 degrees and I can now see the crankshaft. So now i need a long block. Anyway I was wondering what the differences were between the 4.2l from 2004 to 2009. I've found a couple on eBay and they are from 2004's and the sellers said they do not interchange with my year.
