Crankshaft locking tool on BNK.
Anyone know the proper instalation of the crankshaft locking tool on on a BNK (2005 A6 c6 4.2)? It seem there are two positions it will lock into.
One is with #2 at TDC. This position only has very minimal rock to the crank. The other allows about a half turn of the crank (counter clockwise) and ends with no cylinder at TDC. I wastill expecting to see a lock point like the first scenario except for cylinder 1, not cylinder 2. |
I was able to peer into the port and can now see that option 2 is an actual drilled hole in the crank and thus where it should lock. Just odd to me that this puts hole 2 at TDC and not hole one.
