Does anyone know the outer diameter of the Mass Aiflow Sensor?
I picked up a 2004 A6 4.2 and I love this car! After lurking around here and a helluv a lot of googling. Performance parts for the A6 4.2 are pretty slim. I put an exhaust on the car and love the 4.2 sound and feel. It is a monster!
Now I decided I wanted to build my own CAI as I have built many custom one offs like this in the past. Before taking apart the airbox to do measurements. I thought I would ask if anyone happened to know the OD of the MAF sensor inside the airbox?

A CAI will have little effect on these cars. Built one for mine that placed the filter
near the lower bumper grille. Made very little difference in performance, though the change in sound was nice.
