How is the reliability on the 4.2 V8 compared to audi's reliable V6's

How is the reliability on the 4.2 V8 compared to audi's reliable V6's

Any help will be appreciated... I am currently in the hunt for the b6 S4... rather than the 3.0 A4

You'll get a lot of responses in the A8/S8 D2 forum, ...

I expect all will say something like "reliable as a red brick".
