Independent Audi mechanic in CT for Cam Shaft Tensioner
Hi there. My 2004 audi S4 avant (4.2 v8) is making an engine clacking noise and sluggish in low gears at low revs. The dealer is telling me that it's the cam shaft tensioner and is quoting a very big job to replace the tensioner. I'm looking for an independent mechanic in Fairfield County to do the job and would appreciate any and all suggestions. Audi is saying the engine needs to come out of the vehicle for the job to be done properly.
