Just bought a 2001 4.2, couple questions
1. When is PES coming out with their supercharger? I beat a 300ZX tonight, but I want more.
2. Eibach pro-kit springs? How low? Should I change struts and shocks? If so, suggestions? I have KYBs on another car.
3. Does the trans chip help w/the touchy throttle?
4. My rear lighter is out and I need to plug in my cellphone charger? Anyone with similar problems.
Thanks. I'll post a picture soon.

1. Haven't heard about the SC yet.
2. I would change the struts with the springs.
3. The ECM flash would help with the throttle.
4. Check the fuse?

A few thoughts...
I just got this car in January, and have spent lots of time doing various mods and upgrades for this beast. Click on my europlate in my sig below for detail on the various stuff.
Anyway, the supercharger might come out this summer, but I would not want to be the first kid on the block with this. There is something to be said for making sure it have been tried and tested before making alterations to your engine.
I am not sure the Eibach makes a setup for the 4.2. I am saving my pennies for Bilstein PSS9 coilovers. Adjustable height, adjustable firmess for ride, what could be better? I avhe done the H&R sport springs over Bilstein sport shocks no my previous car..raide was WAY too harsh. I liked the ride on the H&R coilovers, but the adjustment rings were frozen in place and could be moved after one winter.
Tip chip has been a popular subject, and yes, it can improve the shifting, but as the tranny already has a bad reputation with the V8 (A64.2 and S6 seem to have more tranny issues than other platforms), I would not tinker with it too much.
The cig lighter, check out my Aux Power Outlet in my registry page (the europlate link). That has been VERY handy, especially for the cell phone. It places a power socket in the tray under the armrest, away from the back-seat occupants. Very clean, pretty easy to install, but of course, the rear socket has to work for you to tap into the power source. As others have already said, check your fuses, and check the window lock switch (which disables the cig lighter).
Best of luck with your car, and visit us on the A6 (C5) forum!!!
