making a 4.2 V8 from s6 similar to rs6 motor?
are the engines the same? (besides the turbos ofcourse) can you get the turbos, an intercooler and whatever else you would need to make it work?

the heads(or at least valvetrain) is different...
I also know that the standard 4.2 tranny does not bolt up to the rs6 block. so essentially its just a can of worms making the swap, you'd be better off with a standalone twin turbo 4.2 or supercharged(best route) 4.2 OR just doing a whole rs6 swap. I dont know your intentions but if youre swapping whole engines around here and throwing money around i would just do a 2.7t 6 speed swap. A well sorted stage III 2.7t will blow away an rs6 any day.

I'm pretty sure the block has bigger oil/coolant passages. I seem to remember
stories about the early RS6 test cars starting on fire. And as Zeb mentioned, the RS6 block has a different bolt pattern for the tranny. On the bright side though, even regular 4.2's/S6's have a strong bottom end.
