Hey guys looking for some info I'm buying a 2004 s4 Quattro I'm already aware of the timing chain issue because this car has a stuck chain adjuster. The car was adult owned is in mint condition the motor is already out of the car but the owners mechanic flaked out on him so now the cars just sitting. My question is since the motors already out and I have to do the timing chains is there anything worth doing while the back of the motor is accessible. I was thinking cams but reading the comments above if I have to go into the heads and fuel system to do bigger cams (witch does make sense) I might have to pass do to cash flow right now. But I would like to add some horsepower to the car while its apart so I guess I'm looking for a motor head with knowledge in performance lol I'm familiar with mechanics but my other car is a 1972 dodge demon 340 4spd so let's just say climbing under the hood is a little different lol also since this car had the timing chain stick what are the odds it overheated the motor or bent the valves does the sticking timing chain have the same affect as if it had snapped I no when you snap a chain you over run the motor and bend all the valves the owner semis like a nice guy and swears the car never over heated I'm supposed to pick the car up in a few days. Any performance tips are appreciated I think it has an exhaust already. What will give me the best hp gain? A chip, intake, excedera like I said I'm new to this game but I've scene some beasts pushing 800 to 1000hp that's my future goal but won't be for awhile. Thanks in advance for any knowledge you can share
