Default New B7 S4 -> Anything I should know about the engine?

My last VW product, a 1.8T Passat had lots to learn on the engine. Like to let it idle for 30 sec after highway driving, etc. Any little tidbits to know about my new 4.2L ?? Thanks!

the heads of the valves fall off and Audi will make up another reason why they put a new motor in.

Default Re: how about the valve springs being too soft????

Yep...build date of 2/05 after the early models V8 s4 sucked valves in b/c the springs were over hardened...my valves hit the pistons. I tested my valve springs and found that they are up to 17% softer (hmmm not hardended enough maybe) than the ones I'm having to replace....(Niello found my valet program and my warranty is void)

oopsie. Way to go Audi. I'm a fan of the tried and true ABH with mods.
