Newbie considering 2005 4.2 Avant
Sorry if I'm starting off on the wrong foot, but I need info, and this seems like the place.
Proposition: 2005 S4 Avant 6auto 100k miles. Black over black.
All history as of now is unknown aside from 'runs good'. Being sold by a buy-here-pay-here operation with an ad that IS ALL CAPS AND A HUUUGE BARGAIN.
$11k.
Run away screaming, right?
Any better ideas, given that I now lust for such a car? (please resist 'win the lottery' comments - I'm already trying that!)

Pardon my english in advance. My opinion is that u can go with it to some mechanic and let him check, if the car is technically good and the 100k miles is legit i think u should go for it. Maintaining the car is bit expencive but you'll have a good car at the same time. 11k is good price if you dont need to put more money under it right after the purchase.
I got lucky with my 2003 A8. I didnt need to let it be checked because i trust the seller. Few days ago i did "roadworthiness test" and it passed 100% on first go. There was few things which i needed to change after the purchase but i still got it for good price and with good maintance history.
