Default timing belt

I have a a8 2004 with 100000 on it. Manufacturer recommends replacing belt at 95000 how important is it to get this done now or do I have room for more miles

Well, I have done them with 120k on them and the belt still looks alright. Really with enough age and miles the teeth on the belt can start coming loose and then shred off, and bend valves. I would get it done in the next 5k miles before something does go wrong. Its HUGE money if it fails and will bend valves. Make sure water pump and all the moving parts are replaced at that time.
