Default Too lean code

So I've had a CEL on and off for a while now, Vag'd it and got a "too lean" code. I have a K&N, and saw somewhere that the K&N might be doing it. Any thoughts? Someone suggested a fuel system cleaner, if thats a good idea any preference on what kind?

Thanks.

Default Why K&N might cause problem......

Apparently some times people (like you and me) over oil there K&N filters and the extra oil can be blown off the filter and deposit its self on the MAF. That can reduce the value the MAF sees and the O2S gets pissed and then you have a CEL. Any way just read this in a grassroots racing mag. , in an add for some MAF cleaner. Well who knows, it was just a thought to try and help
