Upper timing chain tensioner change outs
 

Hi! I currently have a 3.2L A6 that's a great car, but I lust for a 4.2.
On the C6 A6's, you have to pull the engine if your 4.2FSI upper tensioners crap out.
Is that not necessary on any of the versions of the A8.
Air suspension reliability not withstanding, that mighy be a deciding factor in me choosing an A8, over another A6, next time.
While the C5 4.2 A6's are well sorted for their high mileage use, their technology is a little dated for me. My C6 spoiled me. Now, after a yr & a half, I have mine well sorted. So, I'm starting to look "down the road".
My financial standings have me buy cars about 10yrs old & refurb/maintain them for about 5yrs more use.
