Default 09 A4 Quattro Trouble

I wish my first post was more positive. Hopefully one of you can steer me in the right direction. My 09 A4 has a six speed manual transmission and just over 100k miles. I left a stop sign the other day and turned left. After going a little ways, I seemingly lost transmission power. I can't remember if I was shifting or how fast I was going. Any way, there were no warning lights or messages, and no noises that I noticed. It was night time so I don't know if there was any smoke, but could smell something had gotten hot when I got out of the car, but it wasn't overwhelming. The clutch feels like its working, the shifter feels like its going into gear, but nothing happens when releasing the clutch. The shifter also feels like its going into gear with the clutch out, but does not grind at all. All forward gears and reverse have been tried. I've heard opinions from clutch, to slave cylinder, to linkage, to transmission, to axle among other things from people with no experience with Audis. Have any of you heard of or experienced anything like this?
