Audi A4 lights flashing, won't open with key fob!

Audi A4 lights flashing, won't open with key fob!
Hi,
First post. I've just parked up my car - Audi A4, Estate, L reg - and having locked it, the hazards are flashing and the key fob no longer works to open it. In effect, I can't get into my car. Phone locked inside too.
No sound from alarm ( but it's never gone off in three years ownership so i think the sound is busted)
Any thoughts or suggestions in how to solve this very welcome please!!
Something I should call the AA for???
